Madagascar is more than just an island from an animated movie. It‘s a nation with over 200,000 species of plants and animals that don‘t exist anywhere else in the world. But more than 90% of Madagascar‘s original forests have been destroyed, displacing entire animal species and taking away the Malagasy‘s ability to farm and live on the land.
In mid 2015, the project in Ethiopia was placed on hold. The good news is that prior to this, the work at the original Udo Escarpment and Sidama Highlands sites was completed. New partner groups who share our values to care for the poor and the environment are now being sourced.
All our projects are run and managed by our tree-planting charity partners and their amazing team. By working with them, we’re able to focus on the software and tools that make the Seed The Change service possible.
